Today we left Rome and drove to a beautiful hill town of Orvieto which has one of the most amazing cathedrals in all of Italy. Its medieval facade with sculptures greet the visitor. Its striped basalt stone is a wonder to behold.
We visited the San Brizio chapel inside the church (Roman Catholic Cathedral in Orvieto) and viewed Luca Signorelli’s The Last Judgment. His frescoes inspired Michelangelo.
