Derbe is a city in the district of Lycaonia in southwest Asia Minor where customs duties are collected. Paul and Barnabas visit here on their first journey (Acts 14:20-21). Paul again passes through Derbe with Silas on his second journey (Acts 16:1). Gaius, one of Paul’s disciples, is from Derbe.
